Hi, I’m Sarah

A licensed anxiety and trauma therapist. I specialize in working with self-aware and driven adults who struggle with feeling overwhelmed and anxious -those who deal with imposter syndrome and people pleasing. Often feeling not good enough on the inside while trying to keep it all together on the outside. If you are looking for a therapist who truly gets it, I would love to work with you! My clients leave therapy with a greater sense of peace, a stronger understanding of who they are, and the confidence to manage anxiety. • Yes of course! If you have out-of-network insurance benefits, you are welcome to use them.

I am happy to submit claims on your behalf (through a company called Thrizer) or I can provide a superbill monthly for you to submit to your insurance directly.

I also accept HSA cards and self-pay if you don’t want to use your out-of-network benefits.

  • If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company will typically reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session after you’ve met your deductible.

I’d be happy to check your benefits for you! Just make sure to have your insurance card handy, with your Member ID, during our consult call or email me your information and I will check for you!

You can also confirm the benefits of your health insurance plan with your insurance plan directly. Just call the number on the back of your card listed under Member Services.

You can ask them the following questions:

    • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?

    • What is my out-of-network deductible?

    • How much of my deductible has been met this year?

    • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

    • What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?

    • How much will I be reimbursed for:

      • A psychiatric diagnostic evaluation (first appointment only) (CPT code 90791)?

      • A 45 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90834)?

      • 60 minute psychotherapy ssssion (CPT code 90837)?

    • How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?

    • How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?

  • Because I want therapy to be accessible, I reserve a limited number of reduced fee spots on my schedule. If you do not think you can afford my full fee, please don’t hesitate to contact me to see if this is an option.

  • Unfortunately, no. I can only work with clients who are physically located in the states I am licensed in (California, Florida, & Wisconsin).

  • If you have questions prior to scheduling a session, I offer a free 15 minute consult . This gives us the chance to get to know each other. Here’s what you can expect:

    • I’ll ask you about why you’re seeking therapy

    • I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist

    • You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover

    • We’ll talk about rates, insurance, availability, etc.

    • If you are comfortable working together I will send you a link to complete paperwork and we can schedule our first appointment. If you need time to think about it, no pressure you can schedule from my website anytime.

  • Yes! If you would like to jump right in with our first session you can schedule an initial appointment on my calendar. I will email you with information about my practice and send a link to complete paperwork and answer questions via email. Please make sure that paperwork is completed within 24 hours of appointment time so I can review it.

  • During the first few sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to talk about how things are going, explore how situations impact you, and process your feelings. I’ll ask questions to get to know you better and understand who you are as a person. My role is to support you, offer encouragement, and provide feedback to help you move toward your goals at a pace that feels comfortable to you. Along the way, you’ll also learn new coping skills and gain insights to help you recognize patterns and move toward your goals.

As a therapist, I will listen without judgement to understand who you are (based on your personality and your experiences) to help support you with strategies that work with who you are and what you would like to work on.

Sometimes therapy can feel like hard work, other times it will be full of laughter. Either way, whatever comes up is okay. I’m here to sit with you and support you where you are today. I encourage clients to be open with their own feedback for me so we can really help you feel comfortable. because when we feel comfortable and safe our body feels safe enough to make changes.

  • In the beginning stage of therapy it is really important to meet weekly or biweekly for the first six sessions. This consistency gives us time to get to know one another, build comfort, and feel prepared to start working toward goals. I ask that clients commit to this because when we begin making changes, its common for new feelings and challenges to surface. Meeting regularly helps us work through those moments together.

Over time, I may recommend an increase or decrease in session frequency based on your needs.

  • My approach is solution focused and based on giving you tools and insights to use to create change in your daily life. Many clients reach their goals within 3-6 months, while others choose to continue for longer because they like the ongoing support and want to keep working toward new goals.
